Connecting with TRADITION

Hō‘olu Cravalho

Manager, Provisioning Center/Hula Dancer

A hula dancer tells a story. Rooted in the past, it remains a vital part of Hawai’i’s identity today and is being perpetuated for the future.

For Hō‘olu, hula is life. It connects her to her kūpuna, to the ʻāina and to her cultureʻs history. The tradition is in her, and she considers it her kuleana to pass it on to her daughter. In hula, we’re always learning, always students, always connected.

Past. Present. Future. All are one.
