Honolulu, Hawai‘i (September 28, 2023) – Starting tonight, there will be lane closures in two high-traffic areas on Kapiolani Blvd. to allow Hawaiian Telcom crews to complete emergency underground repair work. To minimize disruption to motorists, the lane closures are from 6:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Locations of the temporary lane closures are:
- The two right east-bound lanes of Kapiolani Blvd. at the intersection of McCully St. and Kapiolani Blvd. Hawaiian Telcom crews will be working in a manhole in the intersection and in another manhole nearby on McCully St.
- The right east-bound lane, fronting 1599 to 1500 Kapiolani Blvd. Hawaiian Telcom crews will work in manholes.
Traffic control by the Honolulu Police Department is provided. Motorists are advised to avoid the areas while work is ongoing.
