Hawaiian Telcom Redefines the Retail Experience with New Flagship Store in Ka Makana Ali‘i in Kapolei
Grand Opening Scheduled on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026
Kapolei, Hawai‘i—The best way to understand all the wonders of fiber-optic internet service is to experience it firsthand. That’s the premise for a new, 4,000-square-foot Fioptics by Hawaiian Telcom retail store at Ka Makana Ali‘i Shopping Center in Kapolei. A grand opening celebration will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, in the new store from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed by live entertainment at Moani’s Kapolei from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. Formerly occupied by Pictures Plus, the site located across from Foodland Farms has been dramatically transformed into a multi-sensory showroom, setting a new standard for retail experiences. In the new retail space, customers will be able to:
- Receive personalized support from local fiber experts who can answer questions, compare plans, and recommend the right service for their home or business.
- Order fiber in minutes and schedule installation on the spot, with faster turnaround than online or by phone.
- Experience hands-on demos of fiber technology, Wi-Fi equipment, and whole-home coverage solutions.
- Access exclusive in-store offers and dedicated customer care, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and billing support.
- Engage with interactive zones, including a fiber-enabled race car simulator and immersive gaming stations.
“We’ve raised the bar to meet the expectations of Hawai‘i consumers, who are increasingly internet-savvy and informed. Fioptics is Hawaiian Telcom’s signature fiber-optic infrastructure that enables data to be transferred at the speed of light through hair-like glass strands to offer the fastest internet speeds in the state.
