Honolulu (August 1, 2024) – Today Hawaiian Telcom held a grand opening of its newest sales kiosk in Kahala Mall located between CVS Longs Drugs and Macy’s.
Open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the sales kiosk showcases Hawaiian Telcom’s residential services including Fioptics fiber internet with Hawai‘i’s fastest upload speed, now 600 megabits per second (Mbps), and Fioptics+ TV service that combines live TV and streaming services on one platform. Now available statewide, Fioptics+ TV was recently approved to be offered on Kaua‘i, Maui County and Hawai‘i Island by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
“We’re so excited to be at Kahala Mall to engage with the community and share information about our statewide fiber expansion and our services that keep people connected,” said Consumer Sales Manager Colleen Goto-Ono.
From August 1 - 18, 2024, customers who bring a copy of their latest Hawaiian Telcom bill to the kiosk or potential customers who have a fiber internet consultation with a representative at the kiosk can enter a drawing to win a MacBook Air.
Hawaiian Telcom also operates a sales kiosk in The Windward Mall in Kāne‘ohe.
Hawaiian Telcom is the only Hawai‘i internet service provider that has invested more than $1 billion since 2010 to expand and support its network, and serve its customers. Today more than half of the state, including the entire island of Lāna‘i and the vast majority of the island of Moloka‘i, has access to Hawaiian Telcom’s 100% fiber broadband service.
Fiber cables carry 10,000 times more bandwidth than copper, and Fioptics’ ultra-fast upload speeds provide a superior experience with sending data including live video calls and uploading photos and videos. In addition to transmitting data at the speed of light, fiber cables are more energy-efficient and highly reliable as they are less susceptible to elements such as water and electromagnetic interference.
