Sweepstake Rules
NO PURCHASE OR ACTIVATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. SWEEPSTAKE IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL U.S. RESIDENTS, CURRENTLY RESIDING IN THE STATE OF HAWAII, AND ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF MARCH 1, 2024.
Sweepstake runs from March 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024 (“Entry Period”).
HOW TO ENTER
During the Entry Period, existing Hawaiian Telcom home phone, high speed internet, and/or TV subscribers who opt in to receive their Hawaiian Telcom bill electronically by switching from paper bill setting to paperless bill setting will be automatically be entered to win. One entry per Hawaiian Telcom residential customer account.
Non-Hawaiian Telcom customers may enter the Sweepstake during the Entry Period by submitting a completed online entry form using the following link: www.hawaiiantel.com/getaway. Limit one entry per person and email address. Bot entries, mass entries or other digitally produced entries will not be accepted.
PRIZE
One prize consisting of 160,000 HawaiianMiles (approximate retail value $4,800) to cover two roundtrip tickets from Hawaii to Las Vegas (prize HawaiianMiles may also be used to cover all or part of tickets to another continental U.S. location served by Hawaiian Airlines of the winner’s choice). Prize may not be substituted, assigned, transferred or redeemed for cash. Prize winner will be randomly drawn on May 13, 2024 and notified by the email associated with the customer’s Hawaiian Telcom My Account profile (or by the email provided by winner using the online form). An alternate winner may be drawn if Sponsor is unable to contact the potential winner. The prize winner must respond to the email by April 30, 2024 to accept the prize and provide their HawaiianMiles membership name and account number, otherwise a new winner will be selected. Winner must have or establish a free HawaiianMiles account prior to the acceptance deadline. 160,000 HawaiianMiles will be deposited into the winner’s provided HawaiianMiles membership account by May 31, 2024, or 30 days from the winner’s acceptance of the prize, whichever is later. Once the miles are deposited into the winner’s HawaiianMiles account, the miles will be owned by the winner, who will have discretion over the usage of the miles. The miles will no longer be the responsibility of Hawaiian Telcom once they are deposited into the winner’s HawaiianMiles account. Use of the miles are subject to HawaiianMiles Program terms and conditions; see www.hawaiianair.com/HawaiianMiles for details. Hawaiian Telcom reserves the right to change the prize at any time without advance notice.
ELIGIBILITY
Sweepstake open only to legal U.S. residents residing in Hawaii who are 18 years of age or older. Employees and household family members of Hawaiian Telcom and its parent, affiliates and subsidiaries, their advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, affiliates, subsidiaries and suppliers are not eligible. Void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. By entering this Sweepstake, each winner consents to the use of his/her name, photograph, voice recording and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
RANDOM DRAWINGS
Drawings will take place on May 13, 2024. Winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. Eligible entries are defined as Hawaiian Telcom home phone, high speed internet, and/or TV customers who converted their bill setting from paper to paperless from March 1, 2024 through April 30, 2024 or submitted a completed entry via the online sweepstake entry form at hawaiiantel.com/getaway. Odds of winning a prize are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. The drawings will be conducted by Hawaiian Telcom and considered final. All prizes will be awarded and each winner will be notified by email by May 13, 2024. Limit one (1) prize per Hawaiian Telcom residential customer account. All Federal and state taxes and all other expenses relating to the acceptance and/or use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By participating, entrants agree that Hawaiian Telcom and its affiliates will have no liability whatsoever, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the Sweepstake or acceptance, possession or use of any prize(s). Sponsor is not responsible for prize quality. Neither Hawaiian Telcom or its affiliates are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access service, or any other error or malfunction, or for late, stolen, lost, postage due, illegible or misdirected entries or mail. Activity deemed abusive by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will result in disqualification of the entrant from the Sweepstake. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use, without any further compensation of permission, winner’ names and likenesses for publicity and promotional purposes, including but not limited to photographs, voice recordings, except if prohibited by law. By entering this Sweepstake, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor. Each participant waives the right to assert as a cost of winning any prize all costs of redemption and any liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize and agrees to hold Hawaiian Telcom and its affiliates harmless from any liability incurred.
GENERAL: Sponsor has the sole power and absolute discretion to terminate, suspend, and/or modify the Sweepstake at any time, for any reason and without prior notice, and to interpret the rules. Inaccurate, fraudulent, or falsified entries or failure to comply with the Sweepstakes rules may result in disqualifications or forfeiture of prizes at the sole discretion of Sponsor. All decisions of Sponsor in respect to this Sweepstake are final and legally binding and conclusive in all matters.
WINNER NAME: For name of winner, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: HawaiianMiles Giveaway Sweepstake, P.O. Box 2200 – A16, Honolulu, HI 96841. Requests for winner’s name must be received by May 31, 2024.
