DOMAIN NAME EXCHANGE CUSTOMERS: If you previously had your email hosted with Verizon under your own domain (i.e. kai@surfco.com) you can still reconfigure your email management software using the directions above. Be sure to substitute your domain everywhere it says hawaiiantel.net. Example, Outlook POP3 setting would be Incoming = mail.surfco.com and Outgoing = smtp.surfco.com. Be sure to double check that all instances of hawaiiantel.net are replaced with your domain name.

Netscape 6/7 for MAC Setup

Open Netscape.

 

Select Edit > Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings... 

 

Click New Account. 

 

Select ISP or email provider. 

Click Next.

 

Enter your full name in the field labeled Your Name. 

Enter your email address in the Email Address field.

Click Next.

 

Select POP as the type of incoming server you are using. 

Enter the Server Name:  mail.hawaiiantel.net

Click Next.

 

Enter your User Name. (this is your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address)

Click Next.

 

Account Name: this is your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address

Click Next.

 

Verify that all information is correct.

Click Finish.

 

Check the box Use name and password.

Enter your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address in the User Name field.

Click OK.
