DOMAIN NAME EXCHANGE CUSTOMERS: If you previously had your email hosted with Verizon under your own domain (i.e. kai@surfco.com) you can still reconfigure your email management software using the directions above. Be sure to substitute your domain everywhere it says hawaiiantel.net. Example, Outlook POP3 setting would be Incoming = mail.surfco.com and Outgoing = smtp.surfco.com. Be sure to double check that all instances of hawaiiantel.net are replaced with your domain name.
Outlook Express 5 for MAC Verify

Open Outlook Express.

Select Tools > Accounts.

Select the Mail tab. Click once to select your Hawaiian Telcom e-mail account in the accounts list.
Click Edit.

Verify your full name in the Name field.
Verify your e-mail address in the E-mail address field.
Verify the Account ID (this is your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address)
Verify the POP Server: mail.hawaiiantel.net
Verify your password and make sure Save password option is checked.
Verify the SMTP server: smtp.hawaiiantel.net
Click the button labeled Click here for advanced sending options.

Verify the SMTP server requires authentication option is checked.
Verify the option Use same settings as incoming mail server is selected.
Click the close button in the top-left corner of the window.
Click OK in the Edit Accounts window.
