DOMAIN NAME EXCHANGE CUSTOMERS: If you previously had your email hosted with Verizon under your own domain (i.e. kai@surfco.com) you can still reconfigure your email management software using the directions above. Be sure to substitute your domain everywhere it says hawaiiantel.net. Example, Outlook POP3 setting would be Incoming = mail.surfco.com and Outgoing = smtp.surfco.com. Be sure to double check that all instances of hawaiiantel.net are replaced with your domain name.

MAC Mail 10.1 Setup

Open OSX Mail.

 

Select Mail > Preferences...

 

Click Create Account.

 

Select POP Account in the Account Type field.

Enter your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address as Description for the account.

Enter your Hawaiian Telcom email address in the Email Address field.

Enter your name in the Full Name field.

Enter the Host namemail.hawaiiantel.net

Enter your Hawaiian Telcom Email Account in the User name field.

Enter your password in the Password field.

Enter the SMTP Hostsmtp.hawaiiantel.net

Check the box for Use Authentication when sending mail.

Enter your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address in the SMTP User field.

Enter your password in the  SMTP Password field.

 

Close the Mail Preferences.
