DOMAIN NAME EXCHANGE CUSTOMERS: If you previously had your email hosted with Verizon under your own domain (i.e. kai@surfco.com) you can still reconfigure your email management software using the directions above. Be sure to substitute your domain everywhere it says hawaiiantel.net. Example, Outlook POP3 setting would be Incoming = mail.surfco.com and Outgoing = smtp.surfco.com. Be sure to double check that all instances of hawaiiantel.net are replaced with your domain name.

Eudora 5/6 Verify

Open Eudora.

 

Click on Tools > Options...

 

Verify your Real Name and Email address.

Verify the following settings:

Mail Server (Incoming) : mail.hawaiiantel.net

User name (this should be your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address)

SMTP Server (Outgoing): smtp.hawaiiantel.net

Make sure Allow authentication box is checked.

Click the Checking Mail category on the left.

 

The option Check for mail every __ minute(s): Change it to 15 minutes.

The option Secure Sockets when Receiving: Change it to Never.

Click on the Sending Mail category on the left.

 

Make sure the Allow authorization box is checked.

The option Secure Sockets when Sending: Change it to Never.

Click OK.
