DOMAIN NAME EXCHANGE CUSTOMERS: If you previously had your email hosted with Verizon under your own domain (i.e. kai@surfco.com) you can still reconfigure your email management software using the directions above. Be sure to substitute your domain everywhere it says hawaiiantel.net. Example, Outlook POP3 setting would be Incoming = mail.surfco.com and Outgoing = smtp.surfco.com. Be sure to double check that all instances of hawaiiantel.net are replaced with your domain name.
Outlook 2002/2003 Verify

Open Outlook.

Select Tools > E-mail Accounts from the main menu.

Select View or change existing e-mail accounts.
Click Next.

Select the Hawaiian Telcom account in the Name window and click Change...

Enter your full name in the Your Name field.
Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail Address field.
Enter the Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.hawaiiantel.net
Enter the Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.hawaiiantel.net
Enter your User Name: This is your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address
Enter your password in the Password field.
Click More Settings...
Click More Settings...
In the General Tab, Change the default setting to: Your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address

Click on Outgoing Server tab.

Make sure the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box is checked.
Select Use same settings as my incoming mail.
Click OK.

Click Next.

Click Finish.
