DOMAIN NAME EXCHANGE CUSTOMERS: If you previously had your email hosted with Verizon under your own domain (i.e. kai@surfco.com) you can still reconfigure your email management software using the directions above. Be sure to substitute your domain everywhere it says hawaiiantel.net. Example, Outlook POP3 setting would be Incoming = mail.surfco.com and Outgoing = smtp.surfco.com. Be sure to double check that all instances of hawaiiantel.net are replaced with your domain name.
Outlook 2002/2003 Setup

Open Outlook.

Select Tools > E-mail Accounts from the main menu.

Select Add a new e-mail account.
Click Next.

Select POP3.
Click Next.

Enter your full name in the Your Name field.
Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail Address field.
Enter the Incoming mail server (POP3) setting: mail.hawaiiantel.net
Enter the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) setting: smtp.hawaiiantel.net
Enter the User Name: Your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address
Enter your password in the Password field.
Click More Settings...
In the General Tab, Change the default setting to: Your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address

Click on Outgoing Server tab.

On the Outgoing Server tab, check the box My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Click OK.

Click Next.

Click Finish. |
