DOMAIN NAME EXCHANGE CUSTOMERS: If you previously had your email hosted with Verizon under your own domain (i.e. kai@surfco.com) you can still reconfigure your email management software using the directions above. Be sure to substitute your domain everywhere it says hawaiiantel.net. Example, Outlook POP3 setting would be Incoming = mail.surfco.com and Outgoing = smtp.surfco.com. Be sure to double check that all instances of hawaiiantel.net are replaced with your domain name.

Outlook Express 5/6 Verify/Update Settings

Open Outlook Express.

 

Click Tools > Accounts in the main menu.

 

Click once to select your Hawaiian Telcom e-mail account.

Click Properties.

 

Select the General tab.

Verify your Account Name, Full Name and E-mail address.

 

Verify the following settings:

Incoming mail (POP3): mail.hawaiiantel.net

Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.hawaiiantel.net

Account name (this should be your Hawaiian Telcom Email Address)

Password: your Hawaiian Telcom password.

Check the option My server requires authentication.

Click Settings.

 

Verify the option Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.

Click OK.

 

Click Close in the Accounts window.
