Nortel Networks

Hawaiian Telcom partners with Nortel Networks to provide Converged Solutions, Digital Solutions and Branch Office Solutions. Through advanced telephony and these communications capabilities, we are able to connect your business with global commerce while securing and protecting your critical information. We help solve some of business’ greatest challenges through end-to-end broadband, Voice over IP, wireless broadband and multimedia services and applications.

 

Nortel Converged Solutions

  • Business Communications Manager (BCM) – An IP-enabled communication system, Nortel’s BCM integrates voice and data functionality into a single platform. Products include BCM50, BCM200, CM400 and CS1000.

Nortel Digital Solutions

  • 3x8 – A phone system providing an efficient configuration of up to 3-lines and 8-stations maximum.
  • CICS – A feature-rich business phone system that supports between 4 to 8 incoming lines and 8 to 24 extensions.
  • MICS – Nortel’s Modular Integrated Communication System, also referred to as Nortel Meridian or Norstar, is one of the most well-known systems in the industry.
  • Option 11 – Meridian 1 Option 11C is a digital private branch exchange (PBX) for enterprises, that are expandable to 800 lines. It provides both traditional voice and Voice over IP (VoIP) communications.

Nortel Branch Office Solutions

  • Survivable Remote Gateway (SRG) – Provides centralized/remote management capabilities and survivability of the branch in the event of WAN or main site failure.
  • Media Gateway (MG1000) – Allows your business access to high quality, multi-line telephone service and high-speed data.

NEC Solutions

We work with NEC Solutions to provide PBX systems to address your voice needs. These solutions are ideal for customers who are considering a migration from TDM to an IP Solution and require part of the network to run on traditional voice services while other locations run on a full IP platform.

  • NEC NEAX 2400 IPX: Internet Protocol Exchange – A full-featured PBX system which provides access to information processing and management services as the controller of an integrated information network. The NEAX 2400 IPX uses a stored program control to add features and install performance enhancement. It features IP Telephony on both the trunk and station sides.
  • NEC NEAX 2000 IPS: Internet Protocol Server – A robust telephony solution and versatile computer telephony integration for small to medium sized businesses. The NEAX 2000 uses a stored program control to accommodate for performance enhancements and added features.
  • The NEAX 2000 IVS2 – A full-featured PBX that supports advanced networking and IP telephony.

Cisco Unified Communications provides structure and intelligence to help you integrate communications more closely with business processes, ensuring that information reaches recipients quickly, through the most appropriate medium. A Unified Communications System offers access, mobility, collaboration and improved customer service.

  • Cisco Unified CallManager – The call-processing component of the Cisco Unified Communications system. It is a scalable, distributable and highly available enterprise IP telephony call-processing solution. This solution is ideal for medium and enterprise businesses.
  • Cisco Unified CallManager Express – Allows you to scale IP telephony functionality to a small site or branch office with a solution that is simple to deploy, administer and maintain. The Cisco Unified CallManager Express product offers you a low-cost, reliable and feature-rich solution. This solution is a cost-effective and highly reliable unified communications solution for the small office.
  • Cisco Unity Express – Enables small to medium businesses and enterprise branch offices to costeffectively integrate voicemail and auto attendant services inside Cisco routers. This provides you with an affordable call control solution.
  • Cisco Unified Contact Center – Provides a state-of-the-art IP-based contact center solution that enables you to smoothly integrate inbound and outbound voice applications with Internet applications including real-time chat, web collaboration and email. This integration allows agents to support multiple interactions simultaneously regardless of which communications channel the customer has chosen.
  • Cisco Unity Unified Messaging – An integral component of the Cisco IP Communications system—brings unified communication solutions to enterprise-scale organizations. It provides advanced, convergence-based communication services and integrates them with the desktop applications you use every day.
  • Cisco Unified Meeting Place Express – Allows you to communicate and collaborate from anywhere, at any time using only a phone and a web browser. You can set up meetings quickly and easily, and attend them using a variety of different interfaces, including Microsoft Outlook calendars.
  • Cisco Personal Assistant – A new-world telephony application that streamlines communications by helping users manage how and where they can be reached. Cisco Personal Assistant helps busy professionals stay connected with dedicated administrative assistance that’s easy to use.
  • Switches, Routers, and Gateways – Routing and switching lets all workers – even those at different sites – have the same access to business applications and videoconferencing as their colleagues at headquarters. Networking solutions for satellite offices tend to be modular in nature, allowing you to install the features you need for a particular office.

  • Cisco Unified Video Advantage – Adds video to your communications experience by providing video telephony functionality to Cisco Unified IP phones (7900 series, and Cisco IP Communicator soft phone application).
