HAWAIIAN TELCOM OPENS NEW RETAIL STORE ON KAPIOLANI
Sept. 8th Grand Opening Features Kapena and a Drawing for a Sony Laptop

The public is invited to join Hawaiian Telcom for the grand opening of its new retail store at 1409 Kapiolani Blvd. (formerly Francis Camera) on Saturday, Sept. 8th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"We're pleased to bring our retail presence to Honolulu's shopping mecca near Ala Moana Center, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and soon Nordstrom," said Sue Berk, Executive Director - Retail & Sales Operations Support. "This new location is also conveniently located near the bus line, and has free customer parking."

There will be refreshments, balloons, entertainment by Kapena from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a radio remote with KCCN 100.3 FM. Customers can also "test drive" Hawaiian Telcom's Next Generation High-Speed Internet service with speeds of up to 11 Mpbs and enter a drawing to win a free Sony laptop with one-year of High-Speed Internet (HSI) service, and a free Blackberry with one-year of service.

The new HSI service, which was launched in late August, is available in Metro Honolulu, as well as East Honolulu, Ewa, Mililani, Waipahu and Wahiawa on Oahu, in Hilo on the Big Island and in Makawao on Maui. Hawaiian Telcom is working to expand the new service throughout the state.

In addition to a wide variety of telecommunications products and services, such as High-Speed Internet, wireless phones and accessories and the "Hurricane Kit Essential" basic corded telephone, all Hawaiian Telcom retail stores stock Sony products, including laptops, digital cameras, camcorders, MP3 players and DVD players/recorders.

Kapiolani Store hours are: Monday - Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed on Sunday. Phone number is 943-9999. Additional Oahu store locations include Pearlridge Shopping Center (Downtown), Windward Mall (second floor), Kapolei Shopping Center (near Bank of Hawaii) and 1177 Bishop Street.
