Outlook Express 5/6 Verify/Update Settings

1. First open Outlook Express

2. Pull down the Tools menu and select Accounts...


 

Click your Hawaiian Telcom e-mail address once to select it and once it is highlighted click Properties on the right hand side

Now select the General tab and verify the information in the Name and E-mail Address fields

At this point make sure all the information in the following fields are correct:

Incoming Mail Server (POP3): mail.hawaiiantel.net

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.hawaiiantel.net

Account Name: this will be your Hawaiian Telcom e-mail address

Password: the same as your Hawaiian Telcom password

Below these fields, check the box labeled My server requires authentication

Then click the Settings... button

Make sure the option labeled Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected so your screen matches the one above, then click OK

Lastly click Close in the Accounts window
