Consumers Can Save with Hawaiian Telcom’s “myChoiceSM” Bundles - Unlimited Local, Long Distance and High Speed Internet for $65.95
HONOLULU -- Hawaiian Telcom on Wednesday will launch its first product bundles, including the “myChoiceSM” package that provides unlimited local, long distance and dedicated High Speed Internet service for just $65.95 per month. No contract is required.
The myChoice bundle also includes unlimited Directory Assistance (411) and the company’s three most popular calling features: Caller ID, Call Waiting and Three-Way Calling. Hawaiian Telcom will launch myChoice with an advertising campaign using the theme “Savers Unite.”
"You get more yet pay less with Hawaiian Telcom compared to the cable company," said CEO Mike Ruley. "We've all heard the old saying that there's no such thing as a free lunch, and it's true. So when the cable company talks about 'free' long distance, it's misleading. You're actually paying for it as part of a package.
"With Hawaiian Telcom's new bundle, you get unlimited local, long distance, Directory Assistance and High Speed Internet for a low monthly fee," he said. "In fact, myChoice will save Hawaii consumers more than $200 a year compared with Time Warner."
The long distance feature provides unlimited inter-island and mainland calling. Dedicated High Speed Internet access includes speeds up to 3 megabits per second, 10 email boxes, free Internet security suite and local technical support available 24 by 7. For new subscribers to Hawaiian Telcom’s High Speed Internet service, myChoice also includes a free wired modem, and the activation fee will be waived.
More Bundle options
The company also will introduce the myChoice Basic option, which provides unlimited local and long distance calling for $45.95 per month. This package also includes unlimited Directory Assistance and the customers’ choice of 3 calling features.
Both myChoice and myChoice Basic have options to subscribe to additional calling features.
myChoice International
As a special value to Call More subscribers via the myChoice bundles, Hawaiian Telcom also is introducing myChoice International, which offers low international calling rates to various countries for an additional fee of $1.95 per month. On this plan, direct-dialed calls to the Philippines are as low as 16-cents per minute. Calls to Japan are as low as 8-cents per minute, while calls to South Korea are as low as 9-cents per minute. Dozens of other countries are included in the plan.
